Waiting for the office to open so I can tell them there is a big doggie mess in the elevator... at least I hope it is dog produced. Someone has smeared it all over the carpet and wall. Ooooh! I had to pick up Fancy so she wouldn't get it all over her feet. I suspect who it is because I know she doesn't clean up after her dog outside. Just afraid they'll think it's Fancy. Not a good way to start my day.
Over cast this morning but supposed to clear and be hot by noon. Think I'll turn my air on early. Got my needles today that I need to knit Renee's Meobius. Knit a newsboy hat yesterday for Jade, Micheles grandaughter, and took it over for her birthday last night. Real cute. Forgot to get a picture of it for my album but it didn't go far so maybe later.

Church and lunch at the church today. Very nice. Sat beside someone new at lunch today. Ruth who is 93 moved to Calgary from Penticton with her husband 4 months ago to be close to her son and his family. Her husband died a month after they got here. A lovely, pretty, lady. Sweet & funny.
Got home and took Fancy for a long walk down to Riley park. I don't do that enough. Then came home and finished Skye's turtle-back jacket. If my cheque is in I will post it and Saige's poncho to Alaska tomorrow. I hope they fit!
A friend wants to meet some single men her (our) age so I found "mix and mingle for singles over 45 in Calgary" on the web. I left her by herself on my computer and now will have to reconfigure my desk top. It's amazin' what one computer illiterate senior and a mouse can do to a computer.
Time to take Fancy out for her last walk of the day then a little TV and bed.

Number Three
A lot has happened since I last posted almost 2 years ago. I left the acreage due to health concerns. I moved to Calgary as that was where I found affordable housing that would take a dog. I have a couple of good friends here and a sister so although I have never lived here before it is not too strange.
Dixie has a home now with Teri and Curt in Calgary as I could only have one dog. They have a black-lab, Lindy, and she and Dixie seem to have bonded. Dixie is 16 in October and still in excellent health. I met her and Lindy and Curt at the dog park 2 days ago and she ran over to me and jumped straight up into my arms... a trick my son Michael taught her when he got her. I miss her but she is happy where she is so that helps.
Fancy gained a lot of weight during my stint with cancer 4 years ago because she rarely left my side. We walk a lot now and I have her on a diet so the weight is gradually coming off. She has lost 6 lbs to date. Luckily I live right next to the walking trails which allow dogs off leash so it is a pleasure to take her. Calgary is a very dog-friendly city, many businesses allow dogs. We walk across the river on the foot bridge to Princes Island in about 15 min and feed the ducks or listen to the sidewalk singers. Then another short walk across a foot bridge and we are at Eau Claire mall right down-town Calgary, which allows dogs. It was lovely as long as the weather was nice to be able to stop for coffee at an outdoor bistro with Fancy.
Well I am going to stop and watch American Idol. Wonder is Canadian Idol going to be happening again?
Catching up

Fancy will be 13 in October. Other than fading sight she is healthy. She can still jump up on my bed from the floor and is the darling of my building.
Title for my knitting page
Been doing a LOT of knitting lately and I post pictures of my progress and my finished projects on Ravelry. Thought I would open a page (gallery) and am trying to decide on a name. Two that came to mind are: "ProCastOnKnitter" or "Designated Knitter". Which is better; or any ideas?
