nearly the middle of April.2010. If I write here only once a year it should take me a long time to fill up my available space!

Finally spring in Calgary. At Ivy's tonight and her mini-hyacinths are blooming. Her lilies are already peeking out of the ground. As for me, my giant pot of about a dozen begonia plants look like they have buds starting. I have been keeping the sliding window open on them for the last couple of days to try to harden them off so I can put them out as soon as possible.

Now that the weather has warmed up some Fancy and I are going on much longer walks again and I had to make her harness smaller again. Maybe by her 9th birthday she will be back to her old svelt self again. I do notice she has less patience with the younger dogs... must be her advancing years.

I am catching the Greyhound for Leduc at 6:30 tomorrow morning. Got an SOS from Bonnie to come and spend daytimes while they are working with the kids and nanny to help potty train Camryn. Apparently the nanny is not having much success on the weekdays, and I think Bonnie is really yearning for the day with no diapers. Can't say I blame her after 3 kids in 3 years. I have to leave Fancy with Ivy as Greyhound doesn't allow pets on the bus (yet?)

Of course because I have to get up so early I feel wide awake. Oh well, I can sleep all the way to Leduc.
